First Post! Crowdtap/Old Navy Cardi Party review!

Hello! Well, I decided to start a blog! I had thought about it for a while, but then when I was selected for Crowdtap to review some Old Navy merchandise, I just KNEW I had to start one! What should you expect from reading my blog? Well, probably a little bit of everything! I'm one of those moms who tries to do it all... sometimes successfully... most of the time, not so much! I have two kids, so you'll probably hear a lot of stories about them, I'm a painter on the side, a couponer (always looking for a great deal!), a scrapbooker, work a part-time job outside the home, AND I like to review products. I'm pretty opinionated though I may not always tell you how I feel out loud. That's why a blog is perfect for me!

Okay, onto the Cardi Party!!

I was very fortunate to be selected to invite three of my besties to join me for a Cardi Party at Old Navy, thanks to Crowdtap!! If you haven't joined Crowdtap yet, you are missing out! It's by far, the BEST for surveys (they have this awesome style where you answer them as "quick hits" and it's just poll questions!) and just a great way to give companies your opinion, good or bad, on their products and to help them get ideas on how to make them better! You can earn some awesome rewards while you do it! Everybody wins!! You can sign up for Crowdtap here:

So, I invited three friends to my party, unfortuantely only two could make it! (bad timing!) Off we went to Old Navy! Upon arrival, I was nervous! haha I went to the cashier and explained to her what we were doing there and that we would be taking some photos. She was so cool about it! She said it wouldn't be a problem at all and was so helpful the entire time! So we went to look for the cardis... and we looked, and we looked. Where were the cardigans?!!!

We had to ask for help to find them... which I found a little odd... there were no mannequins wearing them... I thought cardis were supposed to be the big thing this fall? Anyway, a very nice employee pointed us in the right direction. (we had apparently walked by them several times!!) So we grabbed the colors that stood out to us and headed towards the skirts!

When we found the "wall of skirts" as my friends and I called it, we really started to get excited! There were so many prints to choose from and the pencil style this fall is so flattering and amazing on everyone! We were especially thrilled with the jersey skirts, which looked so comfy!! Old Navy is also carrying some awesome striped prints this fall that you usually don't see in a skirt, so Double Score!!! Off to the scarves!!

Oh, the scarves!! Old Navy, you never cease to please me with your selection of scarves! this is where I usually like to add my color to my outfit, as I'm a little bit chicken when it comes to color. I grabbed some of the brightest scarves I could find, as well as a few crazy prints. My friends did the same and off we went to the dressing room.

So many cute looks! (This is the part where I would post pictures of all the awesome looks we came up with, however I'm having an issue with At&t right now and am unable to send any data messages! They said the only way they can fix it is to reset my phone and I will lose all the pictures, so I told them not to do that just yet and I would keep trying to send them... so hopefully there will be pictures to come eventually!!) Even if the issue with my phone is not resolved, I will take a picture of the look I ended up coming home with in the end if nothing else. I ended up going for the navy blue, v-neck, polka dot cardi with the khaki cord skirt, and the sailboat scarf. I usually don't mix prints so I wanted to do something different and I love the way it came out!! One of my friends ended up with the red cardi, plain gray jersey skirt (which I tried on a few jersey skirts and I have to say they are the most comfy skirt I've ever tried on!! I even went back and bought the black and white stripe one!) and she got the yellow scarf! It was such an awesome combination! My other friend ended up with a denim skirt, white v-neck cardi, and the blue and white strip scarf. All the looks were great, and I can't wait to go back and pick up more!

I might add that they even had adorable little cardis for our babies and my little Piper and my friend's daughter ended up with a couple as well. =)

Overall, our cardi party was a HUGE success and I couldn't be  happier with the looks we came home with!! Thanks so much Old Navy and Crowdtap!! Hopefully I will have some pictures soon!

=)
